Lay the Draw:

Lay the Draw is probably the most popular football trading system out there. It is incredibly simple and effective. The basic idea behind it is to lay the draw before a goal is scored and then back the draw for higher odds after a goal is scored. Since hardly any top flight football games end with a 0-0 draw, a high strike rate is very easy to achieve.

There are some things to watch out for when using this technique. The first is thing to remember is that betting on the game must be going in play. There is no point laying it before the game if you can not back it when a goal is scored. It is a good idea to avoid games with a clear favourite. The reasons for this are that nobody is expecting a draw and the odds will be quite high to begin with. This means that when a goal is scored by the favourite, the odds will not raise enough to make a profit. Worse still, if the underdog scores first the odds for the draw may actually drop because everyone is expecting the favourite to at least equalise.

So the strategy for laying the draw is to pick a high profile game, with to evenly matched teams. The odds for either team to win will be about the same, usually between 2.2 and 3.8, with the odds for a draw not much higher than 5 and certainly no more than 6.

There are a couple of things that can be done to make this system more profitable. For instance, you could wait for the game to go in play for about 15 minutes before placing your first bet. The odds for the draw will have dropped and you will get a larger profit when a goal is scored.

To minimise the risk you should trade out if no goals are scored after 70 minutes. Accepting a small loss is much better than sustaining a larger loss. If you want your initial bet to run the full length of the game you could back the 0-0 draw to cover the initial bet. That way if the game does end 0-0 you will break even

Lay the Draw is a very profitable system and with big games almost every night of the week there is never a lack of opportunity to implement it. This has to be one of the most risk free ways of betting online.
